Meet Naia.

Naia is an expertly trained assistance dog who was matched with Family Advocate Kim Myers in July 2020. Naia is trained to work in a criminal justice setting, such as a forensic interview, family advocacy session, mental health session, or court accompaniment. Naia was trained for two years by Canine Companions for Independence and is certified through Assistance Dogs International.

Facility Dog

Naia provides comfort and stress reduction to children, families, staff, and multidisciplinary team members.

One of her most valued qualities is the unconditional love and attention she gives to the clients with whom she interacts. Naia was born on March 28, 2018 and loves playing with squeaky toys, hiking, and swimming.
